Things to do in Berrara
It’s no surprise the Shoalhaven and south coast is one of Australia’s prime destinations. The pristine beaches, national parks and villages have so much to offer. We have magnificent waterways, mountains and valleys all worthy for photography, bush walks, bird and wildlife watching and all water sports. The Shoalhaven and the South Coast is the perfect place to spend your days either exploring or just relaxing in our peaceful surrounds.
Berrara and Cudmirrah are popular surfing beaches. Berrara beach is within walking distance from Bunky’s. Visit the mermaid pools at the southern end and continue around to monument beach. Swimming, surfing, beach fishing, and spearfishing are all very popular here. Great 4WD tracks and beach and bush walks surround the Berrara Cudmirrah area.
Amazing bushwalks & wildlife
This pristine coast is abundant with marine and wildlife. Share your recreation area with the local kangaroos. Whale watch during winter months, swim or paddle board with the dolphins. Bring your bicycles as there are many bush tracks to explore. There is no excuse you can be as active as you like or take a well deserved break in peace and tranquillity
Fishing, sailing & windsurfing
Surfers, paddleboarders and anglers are spoilt for choice with Sussex Inlet’s Conneeleys Reef, Cudmirrah Beach/Reef, and Berrara Beach all great spots for different skill levels and conditions. Paddleboarders can bring their own board or hire locally. It’s easy to get started and a fun thing to do with older children, a group or as a couple. Anglers can try their luck from land or via a kayak.
Do a bit of shopping at nearby Sussex Inlet, only ten minutes drive away.
